About Me

I have over ten years of experience working in the mental health profession as a licensed professional counselor in the state of Maryland and the Distict of Columbia. My education experience is a counseling psychology background which consists of learning varied theories and interventions used to assist children, adolescents, adults, and families in being well rounded and effective in addressing their mental health and substance abuse needs. Although I currently use a person-centered approach with cognitive-behavioral interventions and techniques, I am open to an eclectic theoretical methodology if I feel the client will benefit from one theory over another.

My professional experience includes working with mentally-ill adults who were in need of housing, employment, and counseling services. I also assist clients in adhering to compliance with their medication by using a medication management systems approach. My professional roles include case management, community support work, therapy, clinical supervision, and coordination of care.
